1. Scope & Acceptance

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of TaxidermyHobbyist.com ("the Site"), operated by Scepter Marketing LLC, a Michigan limited liability company ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must discontinue use immediately. You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Site. If you are between 13 and 18, you may only use the Site with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian.

2. Intellectual Property & Content Ownership

All content on this Site — including text, images, graphics, logos, data compilations, and other materials — is owned by or licensed to Scepter Marketing LLC and is protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, publicly display, or otherwise exploit any content without our express written permission. Limited personal, non-commercial use (such as printing a single article for personal reference) is permitted provided you do not remove any copyright or proprietary notices.

3. Affiliate Disclosure & FTC Compliance

TaxidermyHobbyist.com participates in affiliate marketing programs, including the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program and other third-party affiliate networks. This means we may earn commissions on qualifying purchases made through links on our Site. These commissions do not affect the price you pay. In accordance with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) guidelines, we disclose that affiliate relationships exist. Affiliate partnerships do not influence our editorial content, recommendations, or product reviews. All opinions expressed are our own.

4. AI-Assisted Content

Certain content on the Site may be created with the assistance of artificial intelligence tools and technologies. All AI-assisted content is reviewed, edited, and approved by our editorial team before publication. We are committed to accuracy and quality regardless of the tools used in the content creation process. If you believe any content contains errors, please contact us so we can investigate and correct it promptly.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Site in any manner that:

  • Violates any applicable federal, state, local, or international law or regulation.
  • Infringes upon the rights of others, including intellectual property or privacy rights.
  • Attempts to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Site, other accounts, computer systems, or networks connected to the Site.
  • Introduces viruses, trojan horses, worms, or other malicious or technologically harmful material.
  • Scrapes, data mines, or otherwise extracts content from the Site by automated means without our prior written consent.
  • Interferes with or disrupts the integrity or performance of the Site or its related systems.

6. Directory Listings

Our taxidermist directory is provided as an informational resource. We do not endorse, certify, verify credentials of, or guarantee the quality of work of any listed professional. Directory listings do not constitute a recommendation. Users are solely responsible for conducting their own due diligence — including verifying licensing, insurance, references, and work quality — before engaging any professional found through our directory. We are not a party to any transaction between you and a listed professional.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SITE AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS. TAXIDERMY INVOLVES SPECIALIZED SKILLS, CHEMICALS, AND EQUIPMENT — ALWAYS CONSULT QUALIFIED PROFESSIONALS BEFORE ATTEMPTING ANY TAXIDERMY WORK. INFORMATION ON THE SITE IS FOR EDUCATIONAL AND INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY AND SHOULD NOT BE RELIED UPON AS PROFESSIONAL ADVICE.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, SCEPTER MARKETING LLC AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, MEMBERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUE, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES ARISING OUT OF YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO ACCESS OR USE) THE SITE, ANY CONTENT ON THE SITE, ANY PRODUCTS OR SERVICES PURCHASED THROUGH AFFILIATE LINKS, OR ANY CONDUCT OR CONTENT OF ANY THIRD PARTY ON THE SITE.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Scepter Marketing LLC and its officers, directors, members, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another party.

10. External Links & Third-Party Content

The Site may contain links to third-party websites, products, or services that are not owned or controlled by us. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites or services. You acknowledge and agree that we shall not be liable for any damage or loss caused or alleged to be caused by or in connection with the use of any such third-party content, goods, or services.

11. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Site shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If the dispute cannot be resolved within thirty (30) days of written notice, either party may initiate binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association ("AAA") under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. The arbitration shall be conducted in Lansing, Michigan, or at another mutually agreed-upon location. The arbitrator's decision shall be final and binding.

YOU AND SCEPTER MARKETING LLC AGREE THAT EACH MAY BRING CLAIMS AGAINST THE OTHER ONLY IN YOUR OR ITS INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY, AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING.
